I thought there were a lot of mixed messages in this episode. Though I'm not sure if it was the writing at times or the producers failing to realize that certain plotlines don't work along side each other.

So I appreciate callbacks and I always welcome moments like that myself. But unfortunately in this episode, I do think that was actually one of the biggest problems here. This was probably the weirdest episode of Smallville ever. And at times the funniest. But mainly I think this episode would have worked better if we weren't so close to the end.

I really enjoyed this episode. I've read a few reviews that pretty much summed up my thoughts on it. But I'm going to post a review anyway because I've been feeling so negative about the show recently, it feels nice to be able to gush about it a for a change.

So it turns out this wasn't a "What if Clark was raised by Lionel?" scenario where the focus was on Clark's actual character and how growing up in a different enviroment might or might not have changed him like I thought it would be. It was more about them playing around with a different version of these characters, imo. So while it was fun episode ( Read more... )

This episode was no Homecoming or Ambush. But it wasn't Supergirl bad either. For the most part it was just boring. But there was some good stuff in it.
